CrossFit Open WOD 12.1

I love CrossFit. Absolutely LOVE CrossFit. I’ve been going to CrossFit Northern Inferno in Templeton (technically Paso Robles) for a couple of months and they are amazing. The coaches explain the movements well and make sure you understand it all before each workout. They are the best. No doubt. You have to try it, but we’ll save that for another post! Today, I am doing my first ever WOD for the CrossFit Open. It took a little convincing for me to sign up since I still can’t do all the movements and I scale pretty much everything. But, what better way to see my improvements! For those of you not familiar with CrossFit, learn more here. And here you can find out more about how the Open is part of the CrossFit Games.

The CrossFit Open has one workout per week for five weeks. They posted the first WOD on Wednesday, February 22nd and the last WOD will be posted on March 21st. Athletes have until that Sunday at 5 p.m. to submit their results online. WOD 12.1 was posted on Wednesday and it is AMRAP (as many reps as possible) of Burpees in 7 minutes. Doesn’t that sound fun?
